My goal for these sessions is to teach your child how to increase their resilience, feel better about themselves and show them a new way of thinking that will have them feeling mentally stronger and able to cope.

Four to six sessions are normally needed; however, this is up to the progress of your child/teen.

I like to speak with the parents first to get an idea of where they feel the issues are. Then a short meeting with parent (s) and child about what the issues are as they see them. Often what a parent says is the problem is not what the child is having issues with.
We speak about what is involved and make a plan moving forward. This plan often includes 1 – 2 sessions with parents solely, I find the child can make quick progress however as parents you need to be on board, and this may mean changing your behaviour.
